Ideaology:The magazines ideology is about electronic dance music and the club scene reached a circulation of up to 70,000 copies during the height of the popularity of acid house people went to Mixmag because it promoted the weekend of fun and clubbing.
Audience:The magazines demographic is mostly from 18 to 28 because it talks about issues of drugs and alcohol and clubs which under 18's are unable to attend most activities promoted.the majority of readers are male making up 70% of readers and only %30 being female the majority of readers are also single and likely to live in the inner city.
Representation:On this front cover sven vaith looks rather unusual with painting on his face and a muted blue dinner jacket not usually a stereotype people would think of a dj. the magazine is promoting difference and creativity,also his hand is open to the audience almost inviting you to come with him into the magazine
Bright blues are used on this front cover to symbolize clear sea waters you would get in say ibiza which is seen to be a clubbing mecca.the yellows stand out more with the help of the blues .
